Essiac is a powerful herbal anti-cancer tea created by Rene Cassie that helped many people with cancer. This article covers the essiac tea instructions on how to prepare and consume essiac tea! Her original recipe includes the following herbs: Blessed Thistle, burdock root, kelp, red clover, sheep sorrel, slippery elm bark, Turkish Rhubarb Root and watercress. It is important that you get genuine essiac tea (see below), that has all the ingredients specified by Rene Caisse, in the right ratios. Prepare and consume the tea following these instructions to obtain maximum benefits.

How to Brew | Essiac Tea Instructions

*Prepare essiac tea in batches of a 2 week supply at a time, based on daily amount consumed, to avoid spoilage, which typically occurs after about 2 weeks; at a minimum it loses it’s potency.

3 oz. three times per day (adults)

  1. Bring 134 oz. (1 gallon plus 6 oz. to account for evaporation) of water to a boil and reduce to a moderate boil).
  2. Add 4 oz. dry weight on a scale (113 grams) of the Essiac herbs blend. If you buy the individual 4oz. packets you can skip this step.
  3. Turn the heat down to result in a moderate boil for ten minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce evaporation with lid if necessary
  4. Turn the heat off and leave the mixture sitting at room temperature for twelve hours
  5. After the 12 hours have passed, stir the tea vigorously to disperse the remnants of the herbs throughout the mixture and pour it into a container of your choice.

2 oz. three times per day (adults)

  1. Boil 88 oz. of pure water in a large pot.
  2. Add 2.67 oz. (75 grams) of the Essiac herbs blend
  3. Follow Instruction Steps 3-5 above

How to Use | Essiac Tea Instructions

*Ideally Take Essiac an an empty stomach – at least 2hrs after and 1hr before meals. But if it’sa choice between taking it with a meal or skipping it…it’s better to take it.

  • 3oz. if you are looking to improve your health, if you’re new to essiac for your first 6 months or if you’ve achieved your health goal(s)
  • 6oz. of brewed Essiac three times per day if you are dealing with Stage 4 or are otherwise considered terminal
  • 3oz. of brewed Essiac tea once per day if you are looking to maintain good health or to use as prevention

Essiac Tea Tips & Tricks

  • Store in sealed glass containers not plastic, to avoid toxin/micro-plastic contamination
  • Use reverse osmosis or vapor distilled water as these are the only methods that filter out fluoride, chlorine and other toxic substances. Boiling water concentrates fluoride
  • Loses potency after 2-3 weeks and begins to spoil. Don’t prepare more than 2-weeks worth at a time
  • Do not strain essiac, the little particulates are meant to be consumed according to Rene Caisse, who developed it
  • Consume cold, don’t reheat. You can let it sit for an hour in the open to get to room temperature
  • Mix w/ organic homemade fruit or veggie juice if preferred (to improve flavor or texture).

Buy Essiac Tea | The Best Essiac Tea

I am extremely picky about quality, and I want to know when I recommend Essiac tea, or any product really…that it is going to contain the highest quality ingredients, so that it is effective. And most brands of supplements are owned by the pharmaceutical companies and giant corporations; I don’t trust them.

Fortunately I found a small Family owned small business that makes the original Essiac Tea, following Rene Caisse’s original instructions with all the herbs that she used, and in the correct quantities. I am confident that it is among the best quality Essiac Tea available, that contains an abundance of the active compounds needed to be an effective herbal elixir.
