Alexa Anona Cancer Diet Plan – Meal Plan and Grocery List

I authored the Alexa Anona Protocol for Cancer – A Nutritional Guide to Cancer…so if you aren’t coming from there, than please check out that article first, because there are so many other parts of a holistic anti-cancer plan, not just a meal plan! Moving forward…You can follow the meal plan exactly, or use the grocery list and make your own meals using the assorted ingredients. Exceptions are the Budwig protocol must follow exact instructions and you should only use Genuine Essiac Tea.

The Alexa Anona Anti-Cancer diet and meal plan, utilizes intermittent fasting and includes a structured meal plan containing all of the best anti-cancer foods and herbs. To the reader, I want to make it clear that each food item in this diet contains anti-cancer properties designed to support the body in it’s fight against cancer! Each spoonful of these foods helps: strengthen the immune system, reduce oxidative stress and lower inflammation. There are a few rules you must follow for this diet / meal plan, one of which is mindful eating and a mantra with each meal.

Rules | Alexa Anona Cancer Diet Plan

Please follow these rules for this diet to be truly as effective as it should be…the items underlined are very important and must be included, they are not optional.

  • Organic food 100% of the time. If you can’t afford all organic, follow EWGs dirty dozen and clean 15 lists. Pro Tip! Go to a farmers market and explain your situation to ask for discounts, often farmers don’t spray their produce, and these are humans, not a big grocery store…they’ll help you if you have the humility to ask.
  • Living Foods are key…this means fresh foods before cooking – fresh produce, fruits, etc. Generally this also means more whole foods Vs less ultra-processed foods in packages.
  • Fasting specifically 16-8 fasting is highly recommended as it helps to improve insulin resistance and reduce the readily available supply of fuel to the cancerous cells. Prolonged 3-5 day fasts can be extremely beneficial, but should only be done under advisement of a professional Book a Virtual Appointment before attempting a fast over 24hrs.
  • Mindful Eating is mandatory – Specifically verbally giving thanks for the food you are eating, and repeating the Alexa Anona Meal Mantra with each meal (more info below).
  • Steam or Bake because how you cook is incredibly important and can change a food from cancer fighting to cancer promoting! Steaming maintains the most nutrients and baking prevents development of carcinogenic (cancer causing molecules) which you get with grilling or frying. No Frying and especially Deep frying is an absolute no-no for the reasons mentioned above.
  • RO (Reverse Osmosis) Filtered Water is the only water consumed, to avoid toxic chemicals like fluoride and chlorine. The body is roughly 70% water, and water goes into each and every cell…Reverse osmosis or vapor distilled are the only water filters that extract many of these toxic compounds e.g. fluoride. There are no exceptions here. Preferably all water in your house should go through a whole home reverse osmosis filter, but if you can’t afford that, at least ensure your drinking water is RO filtered. If you use a grocery store RO filter machine package your water in glass (not plastic) bottles to avoid toxic microplastic contamination. There are other even more healing forms of water including hydrogen (antioxidants) and Kangen water.   • Buyer Beware when you buy anything in a package such as nuts (a great anti-cancer snack), make sure there are no added seed oils or other crap included in the ingredients. Seriously, look at every single product label. For nuts specifically try to avoid roasted, and salted (Get raw or sprouted and unsalted + unroasted), instead salt yourself w/ baja gold or celtic sea salt. You can oven roast raw nuts yourself as well if preferred, just don’t overcook)
  • No added sugar – as a rule of thumb the only sugar consumed should be naturally present in foods like fruit, anything with added sugars should be avoided. This includes avoiding sweeteners like sugar alcohols (xylitol, erythritol, etc), stevia, etc. If you absolutely must add sugars, then a small amount of unpasteurized honey is best, as it’s nutrient dense and contains some anti-cancer compounds, but consume in moderation and limit intake.
  • Digestive Enzymes – Preferably taken with all meals to maximize nutrient uptake. If your digestion is especially poor or you notice gas, bloating, abdominal discomfort, etc than look for a digestive enzyme with some Betain hcl + ox bile to further support digestion. If you are lactose intolerant take a digestive enzyme with lactase (enzyme that breaks down lactose) along with the budwig protocol or any dairy. And if dairy is necessary, you may consider trying goats or Sheep dairy as an alternative that may work better for you. Avoid drinking too much with meals, keep it to 1 cup of water max, and allow food to digest before you go gulping tons of water; water dilutes stomach acid.
  • Avoid Seed Oils – these are ultra-processed and high in inflammatory omega 6 oils; keep them to a bare minimum. The only exception is the cold pressed flax seed oil (Budwig Protocol), due to it’s anti-cancer properties. For everything else stick to coconut or olive oil, grassfed cows or goat’s butter. Olive oil as a cold dressing preferably and not used to cook due to it’s low smoke point and the potential for formation of carcinogenic (cancer promoting) compounds.

Repeat the following mantra, directed towards your food before every meal:

Snacks between meals can be skipped or consumed at the same time as the meal if preferred. Each day includes 2 herbal anti-cancer tea drinks with at least 1 cup of essiac tea, but essiac can be consumed 2-3 times daily, up to 6oz on an empty stomach, depending on the type and stage of cancer. Mindful Eating

Mindful eating is the practice of putting aside distractions and focusing on the experience of eating. This may seem silly to some, but there is science behind It…The gut brain connection – your stomach communicates via the vagus nerve and numerous complex biochemical interactions…when you so much as look at and smell food, digestion already begins…if you are watching a scary movie, the bodies fight or flight response can kick in and slow digestion. Put away your phone, and turn off the TV…get rid of any little gadgets. Savor the flavor, texture and over-all taste of each bite. The only exception Is if you are enjoying the company of family…but still, try to make sure you at least chew adequately to support your digestion.
